Maryland Bonsai Association
8th- 2020 Annual Spring Auction
Saturday June 27, 2020
Beltsville, MD 20705
The Annual 2020 Auction was ON and WOW what a success. There were over 175 items sold to a near record amount of bidders. We want to thank everyone who participated and purchasing some nice trees from George Small's collection and it was obvious to everyone that George loved his trees and spent a lot of time with his hobby. We also want to thank everyone who brought items to sell and these included some great trees and accessories. A special thank you for all of the Maryland Bonsai members who contributed their time and extra effort in making this event a success. We cannot express our gratitude enough to Rodrigo Sauna for providing his facilities for this event.
Doors opened for entries at 2:00 pm- 6:00 pm on Friday June 26, 2020 and on Saturday at
8:30 am- Viewing of items were at 9:00 am- Auction Began at 10:00 am
Past auctions have had great turnout of buyers and a great selection of bonsai trees, pots, tools and supplies.
Thanks to everyone who has participated in past auctions as sellers and buyers. There has always been a great selection of trees, pots, tools, books and just about every item related to Bonsai. Sellers have been happy because there are plenty of buyers and buyers have been happy because there are lots of items to buy. Our 2020 Spring Auction will be another
great chance to sell and/ or buy. As of this date, there will be at least 200 trees at many different stages of training and starter trees and supplies. Lots of Maples ready to train or grow.
It is with great sorrow that we would also like to make everyone aware that our long time member and Bonsai enthusiast George Small passed away recently. Maryland Bonsai Association will be offering George's personal collection of over 80 bonsai trees as part of this auction with all of the proceeds going to his family. View some of the trees here.
This is a great opportunity to sell your extra items and trees and there is still time for you to get things together for this sale.
